Southeast Nebraska Telephone Company announces that, for the fifth consecutive year, two scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $2,000 each to two graduating seniors who plan to continue their education at a two-year or four-year institution for the 2008 fall term.

To be eligible to apply, students must be an immediate family member of a Southeast Nebraska Telephone Company customer in either the 245 or 883 exchange. Please complete the scholarship application by March 17, 2008 and the winners will be announced by April 15, 2008. (Immediate family members of employees of Southeast Nebraska Telephone Company, Southeast Nebraska Telephone Sales & Service, Sentco.net or Towle Realty Company are not eligible).

  1. Two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to two selected high school seniors who are continuing their education at a two-year or four-year institution. Applicant must be an immediate family member to a Southeast Nebraska Telephone Company customer in either the 245 or 883 exchange.

  2. The following items must be completed to eligible for the scholarship: completed application form, educators form, photograph submission (for publicity purposes), official copy of school transcript. Transcript may be submitted to Scholarship Committee, Southeast Nebraska Telephone Company, 110 West 17th Street, Falls City, NE 68355.

  3. The scholarship is for one year and is nonrenewable.

  4. Written essay, Community & School Activities, & Academics are the criteria by which applicants will be judged.

  5. The scholarship will be disbursed to the college at which the applicant enrolls. It will be co-payable to the student and college. One half of the total award will be disbursed each of the first two semesters.

  6. Winners will be notified by April 15, 2008.
