What's Going On

August 28-30:

St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 20th & Towle will host the 11th Annual Community Back to School Clothing Drive.  They are currently accepting donated clothing (clothing only, please) at St. Paul's in the basement.  Please take donated clothing to the basement of the church.  The clothing will be available for the community at no cost on Thursday, August 28th and Friday, August 29th from 10am - 6pm and on Saturday, August 30th from 9am to 11am.

September 1:

Southeast Nebraska Telephone Company and Sentco.net will be closed on Monday, September 1st, in observance of Labor Day.

The Falls City Library & Arts Center will be closed on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day.  We will reopen on Tuesday, September 2 from 12-8 pm.

September 3:

Falls City Band Parents meeting will be held on September 3, 5:15 pm in the band room.

September 6:

Quilters and artists:  Sign up for the September 6th textiles workshop featuring nationally-known textiles artist Frances Holliday Alford from Austin, TX.  She will be featured on the "First Fridays" on Friday, September 5 followed by a workshop on Saturday "Gelatin Monoprint" on Saturday.  The workshop is from 9am to 3pm.  The cost is $40 for those who register by August 27.  Limited space is available, so call the Library at 245-2913 or send an email to  arts-humanites@sentco.net.

September 7:

Falls City Jaycees Punt, Pass & Kick will be held on Sunday, September 7th at the Jug Brown Stadium.  Registration from 12:00 - 1:00, clinic from 12:30 - 1:00.  Competition starts at 1:00.  Ages 7 & under, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, as of December 31st.  7 & under DO NOT advance to state.  For more information contact Troy Nelson at 245-5128.
