Outlook Express Setup for Windows XP
- Begin by clicking on the Start button. Click Email (Outlook
Express).
(if you have never setup outlook express on your computer the setup wizard will
automatically open. If it doesn't open automatically, go up to Tools, drag down
to Accounts, choose the Mail tab, click on Add Mail. The wizard will then start.)
- Enter
your display name (example: John Doe) - click Next
- Enter your email
address (example: jdoe@sentco.net) - click next
- The incoming mail
server is a POP3 server, it should already say that on your screen.
- In
the white box labeled incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server:
type mail.sentco.net
- In the white box labeled outgoing mail server:
type mail.sentco.net. Click Next.
- In the account name box put your email
username (example: jdoe) note: this is only the first part of your
email address, not the entire address.
- In the password box put your
password. (You may check the box to remember password if you want;
do NOT check the secure password authentication box) Click Next.
- Click
Finish. To receive your email click "Send/Receive" at the
top of the window.
